What is asbestos?

Is asbestos still used?

Unfortunately, YES-Due to asbestos still being used Utah law R307-801-10 was enacted and requires contractors to test for asbestos. The most common products that must be tested before performing work include vinyl tiles, sheet vinyl, linoleum, and drywall.If these products are damaged during the construction or installation of new floors, asbestos fibers will be released and contaminate the home.
